Green Arrows Nottingham

On the 3rd December we held our annual Christmas show and awards night. All swimmers performing on the night did exceptionally well in front of their families and friends. We were pleased to present awards to Emily, Paige, xxx, and xxx. Well done! We look forward to another fun and sucessful year in 2025.

News, Hello and Goodbye!
 

Welcome to our latest new and returning Green Arrows: Polly, Sophie, Tara, Megan, Rada, Emily, Jessica and Zoe - we hope you are very happy at the club.  We are also delighted that Becky an artistic swimmer  and experienced coach will be joining the club after a sucessful trial at the end of the last season, welcome Becky!  Kate has also successfully passed her Assistant Coaching Course, well done Kate!

While we welcome our new swimmers and new, newly qualified coaches, sadly we have to say goodbye to a couple of people:

The fabulous Laura joined us earlier this year and was a been a brilliant addition to the coaching team – working with the senior team on their Dragon routine and their figures as well as running very popular land training sessions on Thursdays.  Laura’s last session with us was on 2nd July where she joined the Dragon Team in the pool!

Thank you to everyone I have loved coaching for this club and I will miss it very much. Everyone has improved so much and I’m really proud to be their coach. Keep up the good work, I hope I can come visit. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts and the card I absolutely loved them.

One of our Senior Team, Jasmine has now finished her A-levels so will be off to University in the Autumn (though I believe she has agreed to coach for a few sessions at the start of next term first).  It was great that she had a chance to swim with the Dragon Team at Bramcote.

New Coach and New Members!
 

Welcome to our latest new Green Arrows: Poppy, Paige, and Lily Mae - we hope you are very happy at the club.

Also welcome to our new coach Laura!  Laura was a national artistic swimmer for 7 years competing in combo, free, tech teams alongside solos and duets. She earned a spot on the South East Regional Squad and Hampshire Squad for her figure performances at nationals placing in the top 25. She coached at her home club Portsmouth Victoria for 4 years where she was also Club Captain.  She is currently a qualified Level 1 Assistant Coach and will be completing her Level 2 Artistic Swimming Coach qualification with support from the club. She is also a qualified swim teacher, lifeguard, nutritional adviser and personal trainer.
